The evening of memory of the famous countryman, poet and warrior, volunteer Hlib Babich was held in the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi. The people of Mykolaiv gathered to remember their friend and son, colleague.
He has been defending freedom and independence since 2014. His heart truly ached for his native country. Without unnecessary pathos, Hlib Babich did his job. And he firmly believed in what he was doing.
"I got involved in poetic creativity as a child. But it so happened that only one of his books saw the light of day. Although I am convinced that the material would definitely be enough for two or three books. This is the most bitter loss for Mykolaiv region. Although he lived in the capital for the last few years. And there he already had many friends, a certain circle of communication was formed. However, his parents live here. Relatives are also here. His childhood was spent in Mykolaiv region. Therefore, together with our colleagues, we decided that we should pay tribute to the memory of this extraordinary person. Remember him as a poet," says the director of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi Inha Khorzhevska.
According to our library idea, it was decided not just to read the poet's poems. By the forces of the library theater a theatricalization based on the works of Hlib Babich was prepared. Every gesture, every movement in it had a certain meaning.
"My young colleagues and I agreed to prepare a kind of performance dedicated to Hlib Babich. During it his poems will be heard. And also the poems of his daughter, Darka Babich, who is also an extremely creative person," emphasized Inha Eduardivna.
The poems and prose of Hlib Babich and his daughter were read by Oleksandra Romashova, Kateryna Doroshenko, Hanna Serhienko, Pavlo Moskaliov and the director of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi Inha Khorzhevska.
This evening, Glib Babich was remembered as a classmate, a poet and musician, a songwriter, and they talked about his friendship and joint work with the rock band Kozak System.
Actually, their song "Molfar" ended the meeting.
