Big events can be assessed from a distance, with the passage of time. And this is natural. After all, every year this day we realize the importance of the day for the whole country, for each of its citizens, when the primordial dream of the inhabitants of the state to be owners of their land was realized.
Today, Ukraine and its citizens face difficult tasks - to oppose the aggressor and defend territorial integrity, to promote the further establishment of patriotism for the sake of building a European, democratic and legal, economically developed state respected throughout the world.
This is a great responsibility to ourselves, to our families and our own conscience, to future generations. Today, each of us in his place is laying the groundwork of the country in which our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren will live.
And in the most difficult moments of history, and in the best ones, citizens of Ukraine remained optimistic.
Today, we all believe in the long-awaited victory, in our country, in its worthy European future - we will win and definitely build a prosperous, democratic state. May this holiday give us strength and confidence in achieving goals for the good of our country.
