Central city library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi with its branches appeals to all residents of Mykolaiv to support the petition to award the Honor of Hero of Ukraine (posthumously) to the brave soldier, father, husband Sharapov Yurii Mykolaiovych, who voluntarily went to defend Ukraine and his native city of Mykolaiv from the first day of the full-scale invasion.
Yurii Mykolaiovych Sharapov was a soldier of the 123rd separate brigade of territorial defense forces of the city of Mykolaiv, the commander of the 2nd company of the 1st consolidated assault company of military unit A 7052.
During the offensive actions near Kherson his troop was ordered to take positions and hold them. The guys were in the crossfire zone for a long time taking a blow at themselves.
On September 7, 2022, Sharapov Yurii Mykolaiovych received a life-threatening injury.
On March 2, 2023, he was posthumously awarded the medal "For Military Service to Ukraine".
