As part of the intercultural project "Mykolaiv. We are different. We are together!", dedicated to the Day of Interethnic Harmony and Cultural Diversityon, a country history quest "Cultural Codes of Nations" took place on May 22 at the Marko Kropyvnytskyi Central City Library.
On May 21, a truly creative atmosphere reigned in the Central City Library named after M. L. Kropyvnytskyi. Together with the Cultural and Artistic Association “Art-Spokusa”, we held an unusual master class “Whisper of the Sea”, which became a real art event for our visitors.
This year, on May 21, Ukraine marks the Day of International Unity and Cultural Diversity for the first time. Our library is actively involved in the city intercultural project “Mykolaiv. We are different. We are together!”, organized for this event by the Department of Culture and Cultural Heritage Protection of the Mykolaiv City Council.
On May 20, the grand opening of the personal exhibition “Pearls of the Southern Region” by the talented Mykolaiv artist, member of the Cultural and Artistic Association “Spokusa” Svitlana Boikova-Kaliuzhna took place in the library-branch No. 12 of the Central Library named after M. L. Kropyvnytskyi.
The cultural and artistic association "Art-Spokusa" presented a real art relaxation for military personnel - the creative meeting "Angel of Peace".
On the occasion of World Telecommunications and Information Society Day, a system-wide campaign "Familiar-Unfamiliar Google: New Possibilities of Services and Applications" was held.
On the occasion of the Day of the Struggle for the Rights of the Crimean Tatar People, within the framework of the intercultural project "Mykolaiv. We are different. We are together!", a screening of the profound and impactful film "Homeward" (directed by Nariman Aliiev) took place.
This meeting became a journey to two cultures at once — Hungarian and Jewish! The guests of honor were representatives of the NGO "Democratic Union of Hungarians of Ukraine" and the NGO "Mykolaiv Regional Union of Hungarians named after St. Laszlo".
On this unusual family day, celebrated in Ukraine in May, it is especially important to pay attention to your closest people, strengthen family ties, and pass on traditions to the new, younger generation.
