The event was the final stage of the international project "Strengthening Local Capacities for Climate Change Response in the Black Sea Basin" (LAP BLACK), implemented with the support of the European Union under the Interreg NEXT Black Sea Basin 2021–2027 Program.
The project brought together partner organizations from four countries of the Black Sea region — Turkey, Georgia, Greece, and Ukraine. Ukraine is represented in the project by the All-Ukrainian Public Organization "Ukrainian Association of Business Support Centers," which works with the pilot Mykolaiv community — the only participating city in the project from Ukraine.
The main result of the project for Mykolaiv was the development of a local Climate Change Adaptation Plan.
