Throughout the year, the project has introduced our readers and visitors to various art forms, creative techniques, and talented artisans from Mykolaiv and the region.

The display features more than 20 works by Mykolaiv craftswomen Olena Mishchenko and Anna Salnyk. In their creations, traditional decorative and applied art appears in a new light — vibrant, modern, and deeply creative.

Felting, or wool felting, is a special technique in which natural wool is transformed into true works of art through the intertwining and interlocking of fibers. Paintings, decorative compositions, three-dimensional pieces — the possibilities of this material are virtually endless.

A special place in the exhibition is reserved for paintings created using the "wool watercolor" technique. Delicate color transitions, the texture of the wool, and remarkable detailing produce a painting-like effect, while giving each piece its own unique texture.

"Art Alphabet" is coming to a close, but it leaves behind the main thing — a curiosity for art, a desire to create, and a drive to discover new horizons.

We invite you to visit the library, take a closer look at the artisans' creations, and see how ordinary wool can turn into genuine art.

The "Felting" exhibition awaits you at the Marko Kropyvnytskyi Central Library.
