On April 21, 2024, the famous Mykolaiv novelist, playwright, screenwriter, TV director Anatolii Maliarov celebrates his 91st birthday.
Anatolii Andriiovych is a great friend of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi. He is a permanent participant of the exhibition "Mykolaiv Book". He repeatedly became the winner of the regional competition "Best Mykolaiv Book".
In our city and beyond, the author is known as the patriarch of Mykolaiv prose, a writer of exceptional productivity and cheerfulness of spirit. The language of his works is familiar from childhood, the characters are close to everyone, because their prototypes are those people whom readers know very well, because they live in the same house with them, go to work, suffer, ironize and overcome difficulties. Three dozen books of prose constantly find an interested reader.
Anatolii Andriiovych has been living in Mykolaiv for more than half a century, where he always observes life, constantly finds in our city and its inhabitants new themes for his works, numerous novels, plays, TV scripts, stories and essays.
