The book fund of the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi was replenished with a textbook which is unique in its content and structure.

Seven copies of the edition "Ukrainian language as a foreign language based on the materials of the Mykolaiv region level B1-B2" were given to the institution by the head of the department for culture and protection of cultural heritage of the Mykolaiv City Council Yurii Liubarov.

The textbook was published thanks to the joint work of the Black Sea National University named after Petro Mohyla and specialists of the city administration on culture and protection of cultural heritage for the implementation of the program for the development and functioning of the Ukrainian language in Mykolaiv for 2023-2025. The handover of books took place directly during the work of one of the conversation clubs of the Ukrainian language.

"First of all, it will be interesting to those people who do not know the Ukrainian language at all. And their native language is English. Because all the texts there start with English texts. Then comes the translation into Ukrainian. For students, or for all people who visit Mykolaiv today. They will get to know our culture, our city and our language," Yurii Liubarov notes.

For the first time, such an educational and methodical edition is published based on local specifics. On the pages of the textbook, users will find information about the architecture and history of the Hero City, features of the nature of the Northern Black Sea region, notable figures of Mykolaiv region.

"And the main thing is that there are accents in all Ukrainian texts. Therefore, even those people who study or improve the Ukrainian language will be very interested in holding it in their hands. This book will be used in language courses and generally in the library for work," emphasizes the head of the Department for Culture and Cultural Heritage Protection of the Mykolaiv City Council.

The book is also very interesting from the point of view of design. The publication is illustrated by Yulia Polishchuk, last year's "Star of Culture of Mykolaiv". This addition makes it modern, bright and popular. Also on this day, Yurii Liubarov presented the Central City Library named after M.L. Kropyvnytskyi a souvenir guidebook in English, which introduces readers to the history and present of the Hero City.
